For the most part, actually a lot more info than I expected there to be. A broader range of info. All good things! ~Katie

Yes—we chose Bradley® method based on feedback from friends and website—our goal was to become better informed about the birth process and understand possible medical issues and remain low risk—I feel the class covered all of those issues. ~Sarah

I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised and very glad that we came. I feel much more prepared and confident going into our birth. ~Rick

They were better than I expected because I learned so much and feel very prepared for birth. [My friend] definitely talked them up which made me interested, but I couldn’t be more pleased, especially since it was a large time commitment with driving etc [the drive was about 1.5 hours] ~Valerie

Absolutely! In our culture it’s routine to just go to the hospital. This class has been eye opening in the choices we didn’t even know we had until this class ~Brandon

Yes, I think the biggest reason people in the U.S. choose hospital birth and get an epidural is lack of education on all options available and if they knew more about all they could do, they would choose differently. ~Katie

Yes, I would recommend this class. I think it is very important to know all your options and to be well educated. This really helped us find out and research more what we want in our birth process. ~Eric

Yes—without a doubt! Melissa is a very gifted teacher and I feel that so much of our lives has changed for the good because of the education from the classes. ~Teesha

Yes. I think every parent should take this class. I always thought Lamaze was cheesy, but at least people are getting informed. Bradley is, I think, more practical, better scientifically, and eye-opening. ~George

Yes—the knowledge base and life experience of our instructor was incredible. Even if I had done no outside research, I increased my knowledge by so much. Encouraging us to be “informed” and not passing judgment on individuals’ decisions made sharing and exploring options very helpful. ~Melanie

Absolutely. It is extremely educational. Even mothers having a planned cesarean should take this class because you learn a lot of things that help you in pregnancy. ~Jennifer

The videos were definitely key in helping me realize the best way to labor and give birth in is the environment I will feel *most* comfortable and relaxed naturally. Choosing the environment is a huge part of choosing how the labor will go and turn out. ~Katie

Thank you for being so knowledgeable and caring about this birth method. It is pretty/very abnormal in today’s culture, but I feel like it is much more doable if people would take the time to explore this option. ~Eric

This class has been great and has made all the difference in how I view pregnancy, labor, and child care. It has challenged many preconceived notions but has helped me think through my own perceptions and come to a clearer, more informed understanding of what I believe and will put into practice. ~Valerie

People, do yourself and your children a favor: take a Bradley class. With the trend of the way most people treat childbirth in America, we as citizens must take control of the way we treat childbirth. Over medicating our children, and all of the fallout from interventions are causing our children, and literally the future of America, to become reliant on doctors and pharmaceutical companies, and insurance companies. Take control, stop this vicious cycle. ~George

Love all the books available, and the knowledge that you have about the different approaches that each author takes. ~Jan

Melissa is passionate about this work and it excited me to be in class. She wants to have every mother have the tools she need to birth her baby. She truly cares about her students. ~Melanie

When we first started looking into these classes, there was a negative perception from the folks at the Dr.’s office. After finishing the course, I could see how different instructors can provide a substantially different course experience. There are several areas of discussion that can be controversial and if presented in a different manner, I could see how the doctors could get frustrated. I think that you did an excellent job of being balanced and always making sure that we know the baby’s needs are the priority. In fact, as we continue to discuss our birth plans, our doctor has repeatedly mentioned that she is impressed with 1) how well informed we are and 2) how we are much easier/reasonable than previous “Bradley-experiences.” I think that’s a result of your approach and I really have appreciated it! ~Dan

I have to admit I had a somewhat skeptical approach to class as a trained medical professional but I found that my input was always welcome and that rarely was my education at odds with the topics/education/etc in class. I was pleasantly surprised by that. ~Stephanie
